Thank You
Parents and volunteers, thank you for your tremendous support. You’ve provided snacks that the cast looks forward to every afternoon, sold over $2,700 in ads for the program, put up posters advertising the musical, and helped get the students to and from practice. Not to mention the help we received for set building, costumes, makeup, etc. Keep up the good work. The high school could not have a first class production without your support.

Rehearsal Schedule at the Goodnight Auditorium
Rehearsals begin at 6:00 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If the school day performance on Thursday morning does not go well, a rehearsal may be added on Thursday night. Rehearsals are expected to conclude around 10:00. Practice times are approximate and may vary. Among other tasks, the music by the orchestra and sound setup for microphones are added this week; therefore, extra time is required to coordinate these aspects of the show with the performance on stage.

Performance Schedule at the Goodnight Auditorium
Friday, March 25 @ 7:00 / Saturday, March 26 @ 7:00 / Sunday, March 27 @ 3:00.
Call for the cast is 4:30 on Friday and Saturday and 1:30 on Sunday.
Performances for the students at Franklin-Simpson High School will begin around 9:00 on Thursday and Friday. Call for the cast on Thursday and Friday is 7:30am.

Tickets
Tickets are on sale now at the Gallery on the Square. Tickets prices are as follows: adult $10.00 and student $5.00. There is no charge for children in kindergarten and younger. All tickets are reserved seats. Tickets will also be on sale at the Goodnight Auditorium one hour before each performance. To get the best selection of seats and to avoid the lines on the night of the performance, you are encouraged to get your tickets in advance. The Gallery on the Square is open on Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00 until 4:00. On Saturdays, hours are 10:00 until 1:00. The Gallery on the Square is closed on Sundays and Mondays. The telephone number is 586-8055. Tickets may be purchased online at www.franklinsimpsonarts.org; however, there is an additional fee to process the order on line.

Opening Night Reception at the Gallery on the Square
Immediately following the Friday night performance, the Arts Council will host an Opening Night Reception at the Gallery on the Square. Persons attending the performance and family members of the cast are invited to greet and meet the cast members, enjoy light refreshments, and browse the Gallery.

Cast Party
A cast party will be held on Sunday. All costumes must be returned to the costume racks in good order, the stage area and backstage cleaned, and work finished at the Goodnight Auditorium before the cast party will begin. The choir fund is providing chicken fingers. Parents are asked to send food. The selection last year varied from snack foods to side dishes and appetizers to desserts. The cast party will be in the Christian Life Center at the Franklin First United Methodist Church (the big yellow building on the square). You may enter through the courtyard to the right of the front steps. This will be a great time to share autographs and celebrate the success of the musical. See information on photo available for autographs below. Programs from the musical will also be available. Typically, it takes at least an hour to finish at the Goodnight Auditorium. The cast party is expected to conclude around 7:00 but this time may vary. The cast party is mainly for the cast; however, parents who are interested are also welcome.

Professional Photographs Available
The Studio on Main will be offering a photo CD, cast photo, and photos of the performance for sale. Order forms will be available at rehearsal this week. The Studio on Main is owned and operated by Erin Denny. Her daughter, Leah Denny, was in the musical last year. Erin Denny as agreed to continue as our professional photographer this year. We greatly appreciate her work on the professional photographs in our program.

Note for Parents from a Parent
For newcomers, I want to warn you that the next week will be lots of hard work and long hours for the cast. Felita Holder and I are parent volunteers and welcome any questions. For Gail Broady, e-mail gbroady@comcast.net For Felita Holder, e-mail felita.holder@simpson.kyschools.. If we don’t know the answer, we will try to find out for you. Parents and volunteers, thank you for your support. Cast, thank you for your hard work, long hours, and commitment to a great performance.

One More Tip for The Week
Encourage the cast members to drink lots of water. This helps keep their voices strong through all the rehearsals and performances.
